Yesterday, our wonderful students came together to learn about making healthy choices and the importance of staying drug-free. Through engaging activities and insightful discussions, we embraced the values of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, promoting a bright and informed future.

Celebrating International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking at Our School!

Today, Sri Sri Academy, Asansol, had the honour of welcoming esteemed guests Smt. Jaina Desai and Sri S. C. Agarwalla from the Governing Council, along with Sri Ravi Prakash, Chief Administrative officer, SSRVM Trust. The event was graced by the presence of students, teachers, and our Principal, Mrs. Mousumi Banerjee, as well as our Director, Captain (IN) Alokesh Sen (R).
The students expressed their creativity by making personalised cards, which they presented to our distinguished guests. The guests shared their thoughts and experiences, which was a delightful and enriching experience for everyone present. We are truly grateful for their visit and the insights they provided.
The event also featured a short dance programme, bhajans, and a warm welcome for our honourable guests. It was a memorable day filled with joy and gratitude.

Fireless Cooking Event at Sri Sri Academy, Asansol

At Sri Sri Academy, Asansol, we believe in nurturing creativity and practical skills in our students. On 25th July 2024, we organised an exciting Fireless Cooking Event that showcased the culinary talents of our young chefs. This innovative approach to cooking allowed students to explore healthy, delicious recipes without the use of fire, emphasising safety and creativity.

Our students enthusiastically participated, bringing a variety of ingredients and ideas to the table. Under the guidance of their teachers, they prepared an array of dishes that not only looked appealing but also tasted exquisite. From refreshing salads and sandwiches to delectable desserts, the event was a feast for the eyes and the palate.

This hands-on experience taught our students the importance of healthy eating, food presentation, and the joy of preparing meals. It was heartwarming to see the excitement and pride on their faces as they presented their culinary creations.

We are immensely proud of our students for their enthusiasm and creativity. The Fireless Cooking Event was a resounding success, and we look forward to many more such enriching activities that contribute to the holistic development of our students at Sri Sri Academy, Asansol.

Storytelling

At Sri Sri Academy Asansol, we believe that sports play a vital role in the overall development of our children. 
On Sports Day our students participated in exciting events like the Zig Zag Race and Standing Broad Jump, showcasing their physical fitness and competitive spirit. What's more heartening is that not just our seniors, but even our tiny tots joined in the race, demonstrating their enthusiasm and energy. Seeing their beaming faces and vibrant smiles fills us with joy and pride.

Theme: Building a stronger bond with our children

The workshop began with a thought-provoking quote: 
"Make your children like a river, not like a flood." 

Visal Pai explained that just as a river has direction and control, we should instill values and guidance in our children, unlike a flood which is uncontrollable.

- "Apply before Supply": Parents must set examples before expecting their children to 
   follow.
- "Say, Come here! Rather than saying Don't go there": Encourage positive behavior.
- "3 F Formulas": Fun, Firm, and Fair approach to building a strong bond with

Dengue Awareness Rally

Sri Sri Academy Asansol believes in service to humanity. In collaboration with United Hope Foundation, Sri Sri Academy Asansol has started with its Winter Cloth Drive campaign. We would like all of you to join us in the campaign. 
All of you are requested to come forward and donate old winter garments to spread warmth amongst the needy. The drive starts tomorrow (14.12.2024) and will continue till 21.12.2024.
A drop box will be placed outside as well as inside the school premises, those who are willing to donate winter garments can drop them inside the box itself.
Let's all join together to give warmth to the needy.

Champions in Action: Glory for Sri Sri Academy!

Our teachers at Sri Sri Academy, Asansol, recently attended the four-day Shraddha Programme, designed by the SSRVM Trust under the guidance of Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar.

It was a transformative journey – much like a caterpillar becoming a butterfly 

They explored:
 ✨ The role of parents, teachers and staff in a child’s holistic development
 ✨ Learning through the five sense organs
 ✨ SSRVM pedagogy based on the five vrittis
 ✨ Creativity, teamwork and innovation through hands-on activities

The programme concluded with satsang, gratitude, and a renewed vision to bring joy, values and imagination into the classroom.

The sessions were facilitated by an experienced Shraddha Trainer – a founder teacher of SSA Kolkata with over 15 years of experience in the Primary Section. She has represented the school in international teacher exchange programmes and has been passionately leading the Shraddha sessions since 2022.

We look forward to nurturing a vibrant and value-based learning environment at SSA Asansol.
